Image of the 1% lit crescent Moon rising with Venus and Jupiter on the morning of 17 November. This shot is made up of ten individual pictures taken one minute apart and stacked using StarStaX software. Venus is the lower of the planets. Each shot was at f/5, 1/20s, ISO400 and at 131mm focal length. I was so stuck by the beauty of the two planets and the slender crescent Moon rising together in the colourful dawn sky that I almost forgot to take the pictures! This is probably the most beautiful conjunctions of planets and the Moon that I’ve ever seen. Well worth the early start!
