NGC2403 Mixed Spiral Galaxy

Teleskop service 12″ Richey-Chretien telescope, Skywatcher EQ8 mount,Atik 383L+ camera, Astronomik LRGB filters,
Hutech IDAS light pollution filter, Astro physics 0.67 reducer.

Mixed Spriral galaxy 12 million light years away in the constellation camelopardalis.

Large bright galaxy. High in sky this month where earth’s atmosphere is thin. So a good object to try an image.

Increased exposure times to fifthteen minutes to help capture the faint spiral arm detail.

Data collected on three nights. 18th, 19th, 20th January 2017.

LRGB image with 7 hours 0 mins of data. 15 x Lum 4 x Red 4 x Green 5 x Blue 15 minute exposures.
