Tunnel View, Yosemite, California
Canon 50D, 10-22mm f/3.5 EFS, Manfrotto Tripod;
The exposures were:
30 seconds, f/4 ISO 2000 (for the sky), 30 seconds f/4 ISO 400, and 5 seconds, f/4 ISO 100 for the tunnel itself.
This is the famous Tunnel View in Yosemite National Park but looking in the OPPOSITE (westerly) direction.
The light in the tunnel is a very yellow/brown monochromatic light, unfortunately.
ISO 2000 is asking a bit too much of the Canon 50D, so the noise in the sky was rather considerable and required heavy handed noise reduction. Getting the exposures to blend well was also much harder than I had expected.
Did I mention that I had just fallen and broken my ribs right there at the mouth of the tunnel?
Part of the constellation of Cancer can be seen hanging just above the tunnel.
