The countdown has begun for the launch of the Artemis II mission to the Moon, and NASA has begun its livestream that will enable us to watch the whole event live.
Artemis II will send four astronauts around the Moon and back, marking the first time humans have travelled to the Moon time since the Apollo missions.
Astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch and Jeremy Hansen will take a 10-day trip to the Moon that will give them views of our natural satellite like never before.
Lift-off could be as early as 18:24 EDT (22:24 UTC) on April 1st, 2026.

Watching the Artemis II mission live online
NASA has released multiple livestreams that will enable anyone around the world with an internet connection to watch the Artemis II launch live.
Excitingly, over the past 24 hours, NASA has even begun its Orion capsule livestream, which will offer live views from the module in which the astronauts will be held as they make their journey around the far side of the Moon, travelling further into space than ever before.

Artemis II will broadcast 4K live from the Moon, and will give us views of lunar features we never see from Earth.
That includes Mare Orientale, which is just teasingly out of reach from Earth, but is one of the Moon's most famous features.
Below are all the NASA livestreams for Artemis II, including those for the launch, for the view from the Orion capsule and the view of the launchpad from Kennedy Space Center.
