Orion Area v2

Dave Walker

Forest of Bowland

10 shots of four minutes each with a modified Canon 60D cooled to -20ºC fitted with an Astronomik CLS EOS-Clip through an EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM at 24mm f/4 on an Skywatcher HEQ5-Pro.

I drove up to the Forest of Bowland to escape the light pollution and waited till Orion was at its highest in the sky, absolutely magnificent.

There was still quite a bit of light pollution to deal with when processing the image but I’m glad I’ve finally captured the Orion Molecular Cloud Complex and surrounding area.
