Emission nebula in the constellation Serpens. The star cluster 6611, located at 11 O’clock in my image, is causing the gas clouds to shine.

Tricky low altitude object and it is only possible to collect two hours of data per imaging session.

It has a large oxygen and sulphur compoment so an excellent choice for a hubble palette image.

Bright nebula so six hours of data was enough for a nice image.

All captures unbinned to capture a detailed high resolution image.

Data collected on 4 nights. 6th, 23rd, 26th June and 6th July

Sii/ha/oiii image with 6 hours 25 minutes of data. 13 x 10min Sii, 27 x 5min Ha, 12 x 10min Oiii 1×1 binning.
