Teleskop service 12″ Richey-Chretien telescope, Skywatcher EQ8 mount,Atik 383L+ camera, Astronomik LRGB filters,
Hutech IDAS light pollution filter.

Planetary nebula in the constellation Vulpecula. A dying star throwing off clouds of gas.

My favourite planetary nebula to image. Strong colours, bright, high altitude and large size of 7 minutes for this type of object.

Kept the core detail subdued by Using a photoshop layer mask with an unscretched version of the image.

Slighly boosted saturation in photoshop to highlight the detail and colour.

Removed the focal reducer and kept the telescope at F8 to capture a detailed high resolution image.

Data collected on 2 nights. 8th & 9th July.

LRGB image with 4 hours and 30 minutes of data. 17 x Lum 7 x Red 6 x Green 6 x Blue 7.5 minute exposures.
