The familiar apple core of Messier 27 takes on a whole new shape with these 40 minute (!!) sub frames taken last November under pristine skies in Wiltshire. Using a combination of H-Alpha, OIII and SII filters, with extreme sub frame lengths, the outer shell of the planetary nebula really begins to stand out
