Edge on spiral galaxy in the constellation Coma Berenices.

Captured some colour. Slight blue colour, on the far edges, showing new star forming regions. Old Yellow stars at the core. Prominent dust lane stretching the length of the galaxy.

My favourite mid sized galaxy to image. Only need 3 to 4 hours of data for a good image.

Small galaxy NGC4562 in the top right corner adds extra interest.

LRGB image with 3 hours and 30 minutes of data. 20 x Lum 7 x Red 8 x Green 7 x Blue 5 minute exposures.
