150mm solar telescope fitted with solar filters tuned to hydrogen alpha at 656.28nm. Image captured with a DMK41 from the Imaging Source using ‘SharpCap’ free software, stacked using AviStak2 and processed using PixInsight.

Before active regions 2080 and 2085 slowly rotated over the western limb I managed to capture this three pane mosaic thanks to a sunny start to the day here in Lancashire. The image here is presented as an inverted monochrome hydrogen alpha view in order to display the chromosphere in all of its dramatic detail.
