Televue NP127is refractor (f/5.2, 660mm f/l) mounted on a Losmandy G11 mount, guided with a TV Pronto and Lodestar. The main camera was an Atik490EX operating at 1×1 binning.

IC405 contains the ‘Flaming Star’ nebula, and indeed I have an RGB image which shows this classic blue reflection nebula, but what fascinates me is the texture of the underlying gas and dust cloud when viewed in mono H-alhpa light. I find the complex knots and ripples make it a particularly beautiful object.
