Star Forming Region in the Andromeda galaxy surrounded by dark dusk lanes. Only 2.5 million light years away.

Trying a closeup shot rather than the usual wide field image of this spiral galaxy.

Tricker than expected as the light from this spiral galaxy is spread out thinly over my 30 minute field of view.

Increased exposure times to 10 minutes and used luminance layering to help.

Had to be aggressive with the curve adjustment to bring out the detail.

Data collected on 3 nights. 22nd July & 7th, 8th August.

LRGB image with 8 hours and 50 minutes of data. 27 x Lum 8 x Red 9 x Green 9 x Blue 10 minute exposures.
