I have been searching for a sky like this for years, and the funny thing is i nearly missed it! We stayed in a secluded wooden chalet on the cliff-side and had a wonderful view over the English Chanel. I was locking the door just before bed and i thought why not have a quick peek, so i opened the door and quite literally had to pick my jaw off the floor. I could not believe my eyes, the Milky Way was so prominent, it was quite staggering! The constellations seemed to have been swallowed up by the sheer number of otherwise invisible stars.
I spent the next couple of hours taking shot after shot in Milky Way heaven!
