IC5068 Emission Nebula

Telescope service 8″ Boren simon power newtonian, Skywatcher NEQ6 pro mount,Atik 383L+ camera, motorised filter wheel and Astronomik filters.

Emission nebula in the constellation Cygnus. Close to the star Deneb at the top of the northern cross.

Near the pelican and north american nebulas so overlooked by imagers. So overlooked it doesn’t even have a common name.

Bright in hygrogen alpha but little or no oxygen component. Increased exposures to 450 seconds this imaging session to capture more detail.

Ha/oiii/oiii image with 3 hours and 45 minutes of data. 16 x 7.5min Ha & 14 x 7.5min oiii unbinned.
