Two bright relection nebula in the constellation Orion.

Spent a good ten minutes on the framing so both fitted on my field of view and I captured as much of the surrounding dark dust lanes as possible.

Small objects so perfect for high resolution imaging with my 12 inch telescope.

The blue colour is caused by the star light reflecting on dust more in the blue spectrum rather than red. The same effect as the blue sky here on earth.

Lots of cloudy weather this month so concentating on bright objects that don’t require much data for a good image.

Data collected on 4 nights. 8th & 12th & 17th November & 3rd December.

LRGB image with 5 hours and 15 minutes of data. 21 x Lum 8 x Red 6 x Green 7 x Blue 7.5 minute exposures.
