Equipment: SkyWatcher 150PDS with a Canon 60D at prime focus.
This is a stack of 150 images at 1/800s, stacked in Registax and finalised in Photoshop.
I like this image because it is a different take on the usual moon images, showing the mineral composition of the surface. The brown areas are iron oxide, the blue areas are a mixture of iron and titanium oxides. I was unaware that colour pictures of the moon were possible until very recently.
