Haven’t tried to imaged this object for over two years. Long overdue a visit with my twelve inch telescope.

Part of a supernova remnant to the constellation of cygnus. Large object with lots of different parts good for imaging.

Rotated by camera by nintety degrees for better object framing.

Increased exposure times to twenty minutes to capture lots of detail.

Decreased star size by six pixels so they didn’t overpower the image. Used an unsharp to highlight the detail further.

Gradient problem at bottom of the image. I reckon caused by the moon. Five minutes in a gradient removal tool soon sorted this out.

Data collected on 5 nights. 24th, 25th, 26th, 31st July, 4th August 2016.

ha/oiii/oiii image with 10 hours 40 mins of data. 16 x 20min Ha, 16 x 20min Oiii 1×1 binning.
