Sh2-112 Emission Nebula

Teleskop service 12″ Richey-Chretien telescope, Skywatcher EQ8 mount,Atik 383L+ camera, Astronomik Ha Oiii Sii filters,
Astro physics 0.67 reducer.

Having a go at an object on the Sharpless catalogue. This catalogues objects’ are overlooked and not imaged much.

Emission nebula in the constellation cygnus near the bright star Deneb.

Oxygen and sulphur component, near the centre, so a hubble palette image possible.

Middle brightness nebula so increased exposure times to 10 minutes for hydrogen alpha and 15 minutes for oxygen and sulphur.

Data collected on three nights. 27th April, 9th May, 12th May

Sii/ha/oiii image with 10 hours 20 minutes of data. 14 x 15min Sii & 23 x 10min Ha & 12 x 15min Oiii 2×2 binning.
