Galaxy 12 million light years away in the constellation camelopardalis. Large and bright galaxy so a good object to image.
The stars at three and nine o’clock are foreground stars from our galaxy.
Many H-II star forming regions. Data collected on 4 nights 11th, 13th, 18th, 19th April.
First two nights full moon in the way so collected hydrogen alpha data. Blended this data into the luminance and red channels.
LHaRGB image with 13 hours and 15 minutes of data. 41 x Lum 16 x Red 16 x Green 17 x Blue 5 minute exposures. 46 x Ha 7.5 minute exposures.
